Location and transport

It spans an area of about nine km2.

Kanyakumari Railway Station
serves the town. Azhagappapuram can be reached from Kanyakumari, Nagercoil and Suchindram by road. National Highway 7 passes nearby. Azhagai's main occupation is agriculture.
