Gangalanathasamy Temple, Aziyur,[1] is a Siva temple in Aziyur in Nagapattinam District in Tamil Nadu (India). [2][3]

Vaippu Sthalam

It is one of the shrines of the Vaippu Sthalams sung by Tamil Saivite Nayanars Appar and Sundarar. [2]

Presiding deity

The presiding deity is known as Gangalanathasamy. His consort is known as Karpagavalli.

Structure

The temple has compound walls on four sides. It has big entrance with wooden gates. The temple has one

Linga and set up them five Shiva temples. Of them, this is one of the temple. [3]
In this temple there are shrines of presiding deity and the goddess. The temple has a tank.

This temple is located at

Tiruvarur-Nagapattinam road, via Kilvelur in between Kilvelur and Sikkal.[3]
