Reception

A critic from Rediff.com wrote that "Go for Nava Vasantam, it is a paisa-vasool (transl. bang for your buck) flick".[2] A critic from Oneindia wrote that "Story in itself is a big minus point for the flick. Unfortunately, all the films made on the banner of Super Good Films will have similar subjects and there is no variety in it. Be it Pudu Vasantham in Tamil, Raja in Telugu".[3] A critic from Full Hyderabad wrote that "This remake of Punnagai Desam in Tamil, also starring Tarun, is unlikely to strike a chord with you despite a good storyline, thanks to a sloppy screenplay".[4]
